About Jim Langenberg
Jim Langenberg earned a Bachelor's in Music from Northern Illinois University and Master's in Music from the Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Jim earned his Certificate in Instrument Repair from the Badger State Repair School in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Jim has always been a handy guy, but realized his tinkering could be more than just a hobby and decided to build his profession around what he loves: music and musical instruments. When not fixing dents or brazing metals, he is a freelance tuba player and has played with such groups as the Elgin Symphony, Mucca Pazza, Alliance Brass, Dubuque Symphony, and more. Jim is a member of NAPBIRT (National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians) and the Chicago Federation of Musicians.
