When a brass instrument gets a deep or sharply-angled dent, it is important to get it repaired quickly so to the metal doesn't have time to stretch.
Always use lubricants with the same base product to avoid gumming up on the slides.

Coronavirus Covid-19 Notice
Brazen Bandworks is open for appointment only drop off and pickup service for the repair of brass and woodwind instruments. We will meet on the porch while observing the recommended social distancing as recommended by the State of Illinois. We will be wearing face coverings and ask you do the same. All horns will be subject to a 2-5 day quarantine based on what kind of instrument it is. Estimates for repair well be done after the quarantine period. All brass instruments will be required to have a professional cleaning service before any repair work is performed. Playing tests will not be done on most instruments unless requested and you will be notified if it has been done on your instrument. While we do everything we can to be very thorough with cleaning and disinfecting instruments, we suggest all instruments should go through another quarantine period of up to 5 days after it's back in your possession. This is based on guidance from the National Federation of State High School Associations. You can also get more information on preventing the spread of COVID-19 from the CDC. We will do our best to get your instrument as clean as possible based on accepted industry standards and practices.
